William Reid studied painting at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, 1984-88. He lives and works in Aberdeen and exhibits regularly in group shows. His solo exhibitions include The Foyer, 2001 and Grampian Hospital Arts Trust Gallery, 2006.
‘The works on display at The Claremont Gallery have been developed from the observation of elements and forms found in the landscape and refer to aspects of space, light and geology. The paintings explore surface and colour, through the use of materials such as acrylic mediums and paints, to produce works influenced by natural patterns and processes. There is a sculptural dimension in the surface of the paintings which reflects the appearance of the landscape.’

Introducing Molly M Designs
Molly McGrath is an American Designer based in San Francisco and is professionally trained as an architect. Her work is made with sustainable materials, including bamboo, birch from responsibly farmed forests, salvaged wool, reclaimed suede and a multitude of scrap wood veneers from local cabinetmakers. Molly starts the design process with a sketch, which she then drafts in autocad, and prints on a laser cutter. She approaches the designs as she would approach an architectural model: experimenting with the concept, materials, and composition.
